Mobile app privacy

Last updated September 27, 2026. This policy covers the Garden by Season iOS and Android app. The website has a separate privacy policy.

Your garden on this device

Saved crops, varieties, notes, check-ins and the selected growing area stay in app storage on this device. No account or cloud backup is provided. Export your garden before removing the app; uninstalling removes local app data.

Postal lookup and hosting

The postal code you enter is sent to gardenbyseason.com to retrieve public area data. Cloudflare processes normal connection information, including IP address and request metadata, to deliver and secure these requests. The app does not request GPS location. Climate values are historical regional data.

Advertising

Google AdMob delivers advertising. Its SDK may process IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, device identifiers where permitted, advertising interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Your garden notes are not sent to AdMob. Advertising consent is requested where required; available choices can be reopened from Settings.

Reminders and sharing

Reminders are scheduled locally only after you enable notifications. Garden exports are shared only when you choose a destination using the system share sheet. External source links and chosen sharing services have their own privacy practices.

Your choices

You can disable reminders in Settings, manage notification permissions in your device settings, export your plan, and uninstall the app to remove local app data. Advertising privacy choices are available in Settings where supported. Contact us if you have a privacy request relating to data we control.
